VIJFF Shorts Competition

Are you an emerging filmmaker with a big story to tell… in just 60 seconds? The VIJFF Shorts Competition is your opportunity to shine.

Introducing the VIJFF Shorts Competition–a 60 second short film contest that offers aspiring filmmakers a shot at being screened at the 2025 Victoria International Jewish Film Festival!

Open to anyone with a passion for filmmaking, content creation, or digital storytelling, this dynamic contest invites you to craft a compelling one-minute short that could earn you a place on the big screen at the 2025 Victoria International Jewish Film Festival (VIJFF). Whether your background is in film, social media, or community storytelling, we’re looking for bold, creative visions that explore themes of empathy, love, and resilience—universal values inspired by the Jewish philosophy of tikkun olam. Submit your entry by October 11, 2025, and you could win a $250 cash prize and the chance to share your story with the VIJFF audience. Bravo!
