VIJFF 2021
Common joys and Shared Experiences!
The 7th annual VIJFF was a veritable success—as a model hybrid event for these times, and as community building within Victoria’s Jewish community and among others! In the spring, the VIJFF presented a streamed Feel-Good Film Festival, which screened comedies & feel-good films, and which featured live-streamed music & stand-up comedy. In the fall, the VIJFF’s main hybrid festival presented poignant films and live-streamed conversations with filmmakers. The well-attended festival’s opening and closing night at the Vic Theatre also featured live jazz performances and nosh boxes with Middle Eastern and Jewish snacks specially prepared by local Palestinian chef Yousef Kayal..

VIJFF 2022
For its 8th year, each screening will be a special (and free) event—with live music and nosh (snacks) complementing each film! Running live at the Vic Theatre and online, from Tuesday, November 1st, to Sunday, November 6th, the VIJFF is planning a fun, engaging festival. Leveraging its cross-cultural foundations, the 2022 VIJFF will again attract diverse audiences, not least of which cinephiles! Stay tuned for more information!
