Golda’s Balcony, The Film followed by the Opening Night Reception at the Union Club

The VIJFF’s gala opening night, presents “Golda’s Balcony, The Film,” starring Tovah Feldshuh in a recreation of her award-winning Broadway performance as Golda Meir in William Gibson’s one-woman play. Feldshuh recalls Meir’s life from poor Russian immigrant to Israel’s fourth prime minister, portraying 46 characters in all— including David Ben-Gurion, Henry Kissinger and various Middle East leaders.

Opening night also features an audience Q&A session with David Fishelson, producer of both the film and the Broadway production of “Golda’s Balcony.” A reception offering hors d’oeuvres, desserts, beverages and live music will follow at the Union Club, a short walk from the theatre.
