Documentary – Canada

When the Vancouver artist Hinda Avery began painting the women in her family who had not survived the Holocaust, she began to feel that her paintings did not do them justice. She soon began to change the style of her subsequent paintings by depicting the lost generation, as well as her own, in entirely radically unexpected ways. Includes interviews with local Victoria personalities Freda Knott and Rabbi Harry Brechner.
